Full Control • Native Data Acquisition • Universal Compatibility
SEDEX LT‑ELSD detectors are designed for plug‑and‑play integration into virtually any chromatographic system.
Thanks to a complete portfolio of dedicated PC drivers, SEDEX detectors can be fully controlled, monitored and automated directly from major Chromatography Data Systems (CDS) — eliminating the need for external A/D converters and ensuring a smooth analytical workflow.
SEDEX drivers provide true digital integration, meaning that temperature, gain, gas control, light source, autozero, signal filtering and end‑of‑run shutdown are all piloted directly from the software interface, with complete acquisition of the ELSD signal and operational parameters.
This makes SEDEX detectors behave like native system components within your CDS.
Why Use SEDEX Drivers?
SEDEX Drivers allow your LT‑ELSD detector to be operated entirely from your Chromatography Data System (CDS), providing a unified, streamlined workflow:
→ Full Digital Control
Control temperature, gain, gas, light source, filters, and autozero directly inside your chromatography software.
→ Native Signal Acquisition
Digital data transfer via USB or RS‑232 — no A/D converter required.
→ Enhanced Method Automation
Time‑based control of temperature, gain, filters, and autozero simplifies complex sequences and improves reproducibility.
→ Traceable & GLP‑Friendly
All detector parameters are logged digitally, ensuring complete traceability and easier validation.
Supported Chromatography Software (CDS)
SEDEX Drivers are available for the major chromatography software platforms used worldwide:
- Agilent OpenLAB® CDS (ChemStation Edition + EZChrom Edition)
- Agilent ChemStation®
- Agilent EZChrom® / EZChrom Elite®
- Thermo Fisher Chromeleon™ 7.x
These drivers offer full digital control, native data acquisition, and complete method integration.
Supported Chromatography Software (CDS)
If your CDS is not listed among the officially supported SEDEX Drivers, SEDEX detectors can still be integrated easily.
In these cases, the detector is connected using a standard analog data‑acquisition pathway, allowing the ELSD signal to be captured just like any other analog detector.
This approach offers:
- Full compatibility with virtually any CDS, even without a native digital driver
- Simple installation using the standard analog output provided with every SEDEX detector
- Reliable signal acquisition for monitoring, quantification and method execution
- No impact on chromatographic performance — only the control interface changes
All operational parameters (temperature, gain, gas, etc.) are set directly on the detector, which remains extremely simple to operate thanks to its intuitive interface (only two main parameters).
In summary: If your CDS isn’t supported by a dedicated SEDEX Driver, you can still use the detector seamlessly via standard analog
